On July 18th 2009, two Canterbury school teachers with no mechanical knowledge, sense of direction or common sense will set off from Goodwood heading east. Destination - Mongolia. A 10,000 mile journey, crossing 16 countries, 2 deserts and 3 mountain ranges ... their chosen steed - a black, pink-polka-dotted 1.2 litre Ford KA. One condition: to be back for September and the start of the Autumn Term.

Apart from having fun, we hope to raise thousands of pounds for CYPPD (Children and Young People’s Protection and Development), a non-governmental organisation working in Mongolia to support and protect children who are homeless and/or at risk of abuse, trafficking and child labour.

Please feel free to donate by visiting www.justgiving.com/mongolkings or following the link above and to the right if it is working again. For more information, follow the links at the top of the page to the rest of our site. Please note that we are funding the whole trip ourselves, so absolutely all donations will go to CYPPD.

We have plenty of advertising space on the site, the car and merchandise. If you would like to get in touch about corporate sponsorship, please e-mail us on mongolrally@kings-school.co.uk.
